BISHWA SEVA FOUNDATION
The Bishwa Seva Foundation is a US based non-profit that was founded in 2009 in Oceanside by then 25-year-old Deep Deoja and friends to support the schooling of orphans and disadvantaged students in Panuati, Nepal. Deep was born in Kathmandu, Nepal and is now a US citizen. Deep’s heart is filled with compassion for the children of the world and in particular, the children of Nepal. “Bishwa Seva” means to serve the world.
Initially the students were supported only from the proceeds of the Deep Sound Meditation, but the needs quickly outgrew the fund-raising capacity of the Deep Sound Meditation. Today, 80% of the funds to support the students comes from sponsors, like the Encinitas Mindfulness Community. The students rely on your support for education, uniforms, meals and a chance for a better life!
